Dr. Romeena Lee is a first generation American of Cuban-Chinese descent and Miami, FL, native. She attended Boston University for her undergraduate studies in Boston, MA, and received a Master’s in Public Health with a special interest in Nutritional Epidemiology from the University of Massachusetts. She received her medical degree from the College of Osteopathic Medicine at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, FL, where she was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society and the only medical student in her class to receive the prestigious Leonard Tow Humanism in Medicine Award presented by the Arnold P. Gold Foundation. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at the Federally Qualified Health Center, Community Health Center of South Florida and Jackson South Medical Center in Miami, FL, where she was Chief Resident and awarded the Chief Resident Award, Doris Ison Award, Resident of the Year and Chief Executive Officer Award. She specialized in Obesity Medicine at the University of Florida’s, Department of Medicine in the College of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism in Gainesville, FL. Dr. Lee is a primary care physician who is dedicated to personalized and preventive health. She values the importance of patient centered quality care and emphasizes the importance of prevention, nutrition and lifestyle.
